    Sabi Sands Game Reserve

    “Trip of a life time!”

Located on a private reserve bordering Kruger National Park, this safari lodge met and exceeded all of our dreams. From seeing all of the big 5 to the “accommodations” everything was 5 star in every way. Safari’s are expensive and there are many things to consider such as the time of year, safety, the animals you hope to see, food and things to do. This safari lodge meets all these things. The service was great. It’s all inclusive so drinks and food are included. Best of all they really respect the animals and have very strict rules when on safari. You will see animals, lots of them! It’s a bit frightening to think that you will be within feet of lions, leopards, rhino’s etc, in a completely open vehicle. The guides and trackers know the animals and make you feel very comfortable. My wife only planned on 1 safari and ended up going on 5. She loved it. So, if you are considering a safari I strongly suggest checking out “Lion Sands”. I can’t see how you could ever be disappointed.

    “Amazing !”

Wonderful accommodation in an individual room linked to the central area by walkways that we needed to be escorted along before light and after dark. Mosquito nets around the bed and complimentary deterrent spray. Wonderful food served to table at the raised dining area overlooking the dried river bed. Fantastic safari experiences with excellent guides and trackers on each vehicle – blankets and hot water bottles provided for the cold morning outings. Up very close encounters with white rhino, leopards, hippo, elephants, impala, ground hornbill, kudu, springbok and giraffe….Absolute privilege.
