Located high on a ridge, the camp overlooks the Sand River like a stylish matriarch gazing down upon the landscape.

The green tin roof and manicured grounds carve out a soft and cultured niche in the wild and tumbling bush. Enjoy the ritual of afternoon tea served on the spacious veranda or rolling lawn, perhaps in the company of a wild but friendly visitor or two. While gracious style abounds at Kirkman’s Camp, the landscape beyond is never forgotten.

Indulge in private time in the fascinating library or while away a few hours in front of the roaring fireplace in the guest sitting room. Leisure hours can be spent by the pool admiring the bush landscape and enjoying a special wildlife sighting in the river valley.

Sabi Sands Game Reserve

“It was, is, superb”

We have spent three marvelous days here and, unfortunately, our time has run out. The Landcruisers take six guests at most, so everybody has a ‘window’ seat and our tracker and driver were superb – we weren’t being allowed to leave until we had seen the big five which we did. The other necessities of life, such as accommodation, food and drink were up to the same standard. Would we go back? Can’t wait for the opportunity.

“Outstandingly experience”

For a safari experience with 5 star service you’d do well to choose this establishment. We were collected from the airport and driven to Kirkmans Kamp where a wecoming committee of management and staff greeted us and explained the necessary safety issues whilst in the park. Our rooms were well appointed and very comfortable. All the food and drinks were included and the meals were absolutely delicious. As we were there to celebrate a milestone birthday the staff went out of their way to make our stay and the first evening a memorable occasion. We had 2 safaris each day and the driver and guide went out of their way to find as many animals as possible and gave plenty of time for observation and photography. This is a very professional organisation and I highly recommend.

“Excellent and beyond”

Stayed two nights
Room is very comfortable
Food is tremendous..best we have had in sa
Service is excellent and friendly
The safari guides go out of there way to tick your boxes..special thanks to Chris and David for finding the rhino after 4 hours
Location untouchable
Somehow they organised the most spectacular
Light show for us…a storm ..much needed water and entertainment in one
I can’t compare to other camps but I would not bother looking elsewhere when coming back on safari

Well done to all as it is a great team fort that makes this place

“Awesome attention to detail”

What can I say…..
Excellent staff, food inc bush breakfast and African BBQ night at the lodge. Hyenas, buffalo, elephant and Antelope can be seen wandering around the grounds in the evenings. We saw the big 5 all in one day of Safari.
Matt our guide and Victor our tracker were amazing. You can get seriously close to the animals at this Camp. The blankets and hot water bottles were greatly appreciated on the cool early morning game drives. The leopard cubs were so cute.
This place has attention to detail in bucket loads. All inclusive meals and alcoholic drinks. Coffee breaks and arvo sunset drinks by the river were awesome. Very Highly recommended.
