Ulusaba Safari Lodge – Sabi Sands Game Reserve
October 18, 2020
Ulusaba Safari Lodge is situated in the heart of the Sabi Sand Game Reserve and borders the unfenced Kruger National Park, surrounded by 13,500 hectares (about 33,000 acres) of the open bush. The hills of Ulusaba are spectacular as they rise above the surrounding terrain, offering a view unsurpassed anywhere else in the reserve. Ulusaba Game Reserve is relatively small but has traversing rights with seven other properties in the western sector of Sabi Sands.
People visit the Sabi Sand region for it’s abundant game – including the Big Five (Buffalo, Rhino, Elephant, Leopard and Lion), with leopard sightings declared as incredible! Two safari drives daily, one early in the morning and one late in the afternoon, in open 4×4 wildlife viewing safari vehicles and nature walks are included during your stay at Ulusaba Safari Lodge.
Ulusaba Safari Lodge fits snugly into the bush located beneath a canopy of ancient trees on the edge of a dry riverbed. You’ll love the sense of adventure as you access some of the rooms by swing bridges. Your room will provide fascinating views of the animals as they stroll past on their way to the nearby watering hole.
Far away from the all the light pollution you get in most cities and towns, a visit to Ulusaba Game Reserve is a great chance to gaze at the night sky, and the Bush Observatory is the perfect place to do this!
Whilst at Ulusaba Safari Lodge, you should definitely make some time to taste a few reds and whites in the Lodge wine cellar.
