Ulusaba Cliff Lodge – Southern Destinations
There are few locations more dramatic than the setting at Ulusaba Cliff Lodge. Forming part of Sir Richard Branson’s Private Game Reserve in Sabi Sand, bordering the Kruger National Park, this unique lodge perches dramatically on a rocky outcrop with the vast African bush spread out below. Forming part of Rock Lodge, Cliff Lodge boasts two ultra-luxurious suites, and is therefore ideal for a family or small group of friends who crave a private safari experience. One suite boasts a jacuzzi while the other has its own plunge pool. When booked exclusively, guests (up to five adults and four children) get the added amenities of a private game drive vehicle, private chef as well as spa room and gym.
Along with traditional game drives and informative wilderness walking safaris, Ulusaba offers a vast range of facilities and activities, making it an entertaining and relaxing haven for your safari holiday. Relax in the Aroma Boma spa with its endless views and traditional body treatments; cool down in one of the swimming pools after a hot day’s game viewing; or work up a sweat in one of the gyms or tennis courts. For lovers of all things gourmet, the wine cellar is worth a visit, and dinners by starlight in the bush are unforgettable. Set some time aside on a dark night to visit the bush observatory and see the stunning southern constellations.
Suites are decorated in warm, quirky African style with antelope horns and carved wooden animals flanked by vintage maps and colourful scatter cushions. Sliding glass doors bring the outside inside, and freestanding baths are another luxurious touch. Private decks boast endless views over the African bush and comfort is at a premium with sofas, deck chairs and loungers aplenty.
Children at Ulusaba can take part in the Cub’s Club where they will be entertained with treasure hunts, crafts, spoor identification as well as insect safari walks.
No request is too big or small, and staff from the local villages pride themselves in the warm hospitality shown to guests. Along with highly qualified rangers and trackers, guests can be assured of the utmost in professional safari experiences.
