Perched high on a sandstone ridge, Singita Pamushana Lodge is set within the 130,000-acre Malilangwe Wildlife Reserve in Zimbabwe’s remote southeast.

The reserve boasts one of the highest concentrations of the endangered black rhino and its abundant wildlife makes for unparalleled game-viewing opportunities. With private access to this pristine wilderness, guests can immerse themselves in nature on twice-daily game drives, bushwalks, sundowner boat cruises, excursions to rock art sites and more.

Meet Vanie Padayachee, new Head Chef at Singita Sabora Tented Camp.

Vanie was born and raised in Durban, South Africa and has both Sri Lankan and South Indian heritage. After completing her formal chef training, Vanie has had a diverse experience in the world of hospitality. She opened the restaurant at Grand Provence for Alex van Heeren, enjoyed a six-year stint with Margot Janse and even featured in the popular TV series Masterchef, South Africa. Vanie not only has a love for food but a passion for sharing her knowledge and opened a cookery school in Prince Albert in South Africa called African Relish.

We’re happy to welcome Vanie to the wide-open plains of the Serengeti, where she can share her extensive experience and passion for food with guests visiting Singita Sabora Tented Camp.
