Main Camp – Mala Mala Private Game Reserve
November 12, 2020
I could not have envisioned such a wonderful experience. As a first time traveler to Africa, yet a frequent traveler to Asia and Europe, this was a memorable and thoroughly enjoyable experience start to finish. The rooms were spacious and warmly inviting. The staff attentive and a font of knowledge. The food was wonderful and the game drives were always full of surprises. My memories will linger in my consciousness forever and provide a distraction from life’s unexpected challenges.
Very expensive, beautiful large living quarters with patio and nice touches (ice refilled several times a day. It’s all about the animals. If there aren’t others in your group who MUST see the big 5, will tailor drives to what you want (birds, in my case). Very professional and well trained staff, the other guests were interesting and friendly. Altogether, a lovely experience.
Once again our time at Mala Mala was exceptional – accommodation, level of service, guiding and wildlife viewing. It is probably the best place in southern Africa to view leopards amongst other large mammals.
The experience that I got met my expectations and beyond. Having had a very close up with the Big 5 was for me an experience that I will cherish for the rest of my life. The Ranger that was provided knew his story and was very helpful to my fellow tourists. The accommodation was of a high standard(5 star rating from myself) The whole process from the Reception, to the allocation of accommodation, preparations of meals to the Game drives were very professional. Keep the standard. The only snag I had was the reception for my mobile, Vodacom. May I suggest that something be done in this regard.
When you like to travel all over the world and life isn’t so long to see everything, you understand that not so many places where you will arrive once again if behind you the whole world is open. It is no so much places where I would like to return. I could be there the whole eternity, go to safari in the morning and in the evening, and in the middle of the day to sleep outside near bungalow. Mala Mala is not big and it is private with it’s breakfast and dinner? very tasty, at each coming couple or the company the Ranger who is looking after you so as you are in camp of scouts. Lodges – numbers deserve never-ending compliments, everything is thought so over and is elegant. Bathroom with candles and wardrobe on a ladies’ half and a shower with an exit to the mini pool on the man’s. And a hall with a sofa before huge glass doors with an exit to a terrace overlooking the river. I very much want to return there still, thanking Mala Mala for my fell in love with Africa. And of course I saw there all “big five”
I totally wish that I would live here. This place in incredible. We saw every animal. The leopards, lions, giraffes, and the hippos are all amazing. And their food is amazing. It is all homemade food and their breakfast has very nice pancakes. Our tour guide named Grant was the best. He was very kind and nice. Such a gentleman. We had the best time of our lives. I live this place so much.
This was our first safari experience and what a wonderful stay we had. The accommodations were top notch with his & hers bathrooms to the animals right outside our beautiful sliding door windows. The staff was extremely helpful with all amenities and the food was way too plentiful. The safari expeditions couldn’t have been more exciting with Jonathan, our guide. He really went out of his way to show us every animal with his expert tracking and staying in contact with all the other guides in the area. We saw leopards eating cape buffalo, lioness & lions feasting, elephants drinking in the river, cape buffalo and all within 3-4 feet of our jeep!!!! Truly an amazing experience and one that we will never forget. The owner was there for every meal so you know that the food was good!!!! Thank you Mala Mala!!!!!!
