Londolozi means “protector of all living things” from the Zulu language for the family’s conservation management in land and wildlife rehabilitation as well as their community involvement. One of the oldest lodges in Sabi Sands, Londolozi gained an international following from the Varty family’s leopard documentaries initiated by John Varty (now of the Tiger Canyon conservancy in the Karoo). Visitors can still visit the John Varty Cinematography center on site.
