Faultless! – Review of Dulini Lodge, Sabi Sand Game Reserve, South Africa
We spent 4 nights at the Dulini as part of our honeymoon and were absolutely blown away. My husband and I are from NYC and have traveled quite extensively throughout Europe, Asia and South America, so we both know what “top notch” service is supposed to look and feel like. Not only was this the best of the best, but it blew our minds in ways we didn’t even know were possible. From the moment we arrived until the very-sad moment we departed, the service was OUTSTANDING. Here are the highlights:
Incredible!! Not only are they absolutely stunning – but they’re also part of the adventure. We came home from game drives to find baboons splashing in our plunge pool. There were impala and bush-bucks grazing in our back yard. The mattresses are heated (super important in winter months) and we’d come back from game drives to find that James had turned down – and turned ON – our bed. They have wifi which was always consistent. And any time we took anything out of the fully-stocked (and free) mini-bar, it was immediately replaced and re-stocked whenever we left the room. Unbelievable!
THE RANGERS & STAFF —
We had Dniamosi as our ranger and Isaac as our tracker. Both were fantastic and seemed to know every animal, tree, plant, bird and footprint in the bush. They were incredibly knowledgeable and fun to be with. I miss them already. The staff at Dulini cannot be beat. We were treated to a super-romantic honeymoon “bush lunch”, were greeted after every game drive with warm, wet towels, and never needed a thing because it was always provided to us before we’d even think to ask. TOP NOTCH.
Amazing. I have a serious gluten allergy, and the staff made sure to accommodate my every need. They had gluten free breads and desserts for me, and everything was properly labeled. I never had to worry, which was pretty impressive for the middle of the bush in Africa. On top of that, the food was really very good.
We miss the staff and our rangers, and really hope to be back soon. If you’re lucky enough to be going to Sabi Sands – stay at the Dulini!
